Driver General Rules

NO alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed. Any driver drinking under the influence before or during the pull will not be allowed to pull at the event and will be asked to leave the property. All drivers under the age of 14 must have a responsible adult with them at all times, when the tractor is running or operating. No unsafe acts permitted on the track or in the pits. Drivers must wear proper clothing: shirt, long pants and shoes are required. THE DRIVER MUST WATCH THE FLAG MAN AT ALL TIMES. Tractor must stop upon the signal from the flagman. Decisions by the event officials are final. Drivers must remain in the seat with one hand on the steering wheel at all times during the pull. Drivers must keep finger away from being wrapper under the fenders. Any event official may disqualify the driver if they see his/her fingers under the fenders. Each tractor may be entered once per class. The only exception is the youth class where each tractor may be entered twice per class by two different drivers. One pull per tractor unless he/she is test puller or a tie is declared. Each driver is allowed two attempts within the 35 foot mark. The second attempt is official. Tractors must remain inside the boundary lines at all times or they will be disqualified. Event officials will have the final decision as to the class a tractor may compete. Any violation or failure to comply with these rules will be discussed and acted upon by the event officials. All drivers must attend the drivers meeting before the pull. All drivers will be required to wear a DOT approved helmet A full fire suit will be required if a tractor is running in mods, altered, pros or supers class. Paybacks will be based on the entry fees, after expenses are collected for the class.

RULES PERTAINING TO ALL TRACTORS

Contest is open to 2 wheel drive, rear wheel drive rubber tire tractors. No portion of the tractor may interfere with the sled or chain during the pull. Rear fenders must be in place. Clutches, belts and open drive shafts must be shielded same as factory. No tractor may exceed 6" in width or extent more than 7 ' in front of the rear axle. Weight brackets/weights may not extend behind the rear of the rear tires. All weights must be securely fastened. Weights and other objects lost while the hook is in the hitch will cause disqualification. All tractors must have working brakes capable of safely stopping the machine. Driver's seats must be stock type or have a minimum of 3" high back. Mower attachments must be removed or have the driver mechanism removed. Wheelie bars are MANDATORY on all tractors. They must be able to hold the weight of a tractor. Maximum of 5" above the ground and must be at least 5" behind the rear tire. Skid plates must be at least 2"x 3", or wheels. Wheelie wheels will be measured to the center of the wheel. All tractors must have a working governor set at the maximum engine speed for the class or less, at full throttle. Kill switches with a 1" diameter hole are required. Tractors must be equipped with a hitch stable in all directions. Must have a 1.5" hole for sled hook and be 1/2" thick at the point of the hook. Maximum length of 16" from center of rear axle to hook point. A clevis may be used.

YOUTH CLASS 14 HP OR 16 HOP 4000 RPM - 1050lbs

See rules for 14 hp or 16 hp 4000 RPM class. Ages will be 6-16 years of age. All children must be able to operate the tractor themselves from hook to hook.

14 HP 4000 RPM - 1050lbs

Stock appearing tractors with standard type single cylinder engine or equivalent replacement and stock appearing drive train for make and model. Engine: no aftermarket blocks, maximum over bore .030 from stock bore of engine, stock stroke, steel crankshaft okay, valve allowed maximum lift .330 inches stock size valves for engine being used or equivalent replacement and stock valve seats. 23x10.50x12" maximum rear tire size. No cutting permitted. No pro puller tires. 6 or 8" front wheels permitted. After market wheels and 3 ribs tires permitted.  10" hitch height. Stock stroke and .030" maximum overbore for engine used. Must have cast camshaft, regrinding allowed. Porting is allowed. No welding, grinding or polishing on cylinder head. No after market heads are allowed. OEM valve seats and valves for factory rated H.P of the engine model being used. OEM type carburetor for engine used no carburetor spacers or velocity stacks. Maximum venturi diameter of 1.00", no air entering after venturi. No bottom adjust carbs.No aftermarket crank trigger ignition system. No high performance fuel pumps. Steel or cast flywheel permitted. No cutting, welding or adding weight to flywheel. Foot or hand throttle permitted. Maximum of 4000 RPM, governor must be hooked up and working. Exhaust pipes with NO mufflers, must discharge vertically, 12" maximum from center of bend. Must maintain factory stance.  Gas or race fuel is permitted: no specific gravity less than .700 or over .770 measured at 60 degrees, no additives or E85, no nitrous oxide or any other pressurized fuel tanks.

16HP 4000 RPM - 1050lbs

14 HP MAX STOCK 4000 RPM- 1050lb

Must be block of Kohler, Briggs or Tecumseh single cylinder, flat head engines 15 HP or under, with nine bolt heads. Max 4000 RPM. Foot or hand throttle permitted. Fuel may be gas or VP, C12, no alcohol. The engine must look like stock on the outside. Must have stop stroke for engine, all other internal modifications are acceptable. An access hole over the piston is recommended for checking purposes. After market points and electronic ignition allowed. The head may be aftermarket or billet, but must look like an EOM, i. e. must have fins, head bolts, must match a stock EOM head gasket. Head straps are allowed. OEM cast flywheel with no cutting, welding, or adding weight or steel flywheels acceptable. Carburetor must be stock for engine or a Kohler or Walbro, Carb Spacers, Velocity stacks and bottom adjusts are acceptable. No high performance fuel pumps. Exhaust pipes, with NO mufflers, must discharge vertically, 12" minimum from center of the bend. 26x12.00x12 max rear tire size, with maximum roll out of 78". Cutting permitted. Professional pulling tires allowed this includes tires by Dick Cepek, Lawn Etc, Pit Bull and VM series tires. Aftermarket wheels and 3 rib tires permitted. 13" hitch height. The hitch must have a 1.5" diameter hole for sled hook and be 1/2" thick at point of hook. Must use stock garden tractor frame and drive train, but may be modified for engine installation. No portion of any tractor may exceed 7 feet forward of the center of the rear wheel, including weight 52" wheelbase maximum. Engine tech items will be RPM with no tolerance, stock stroke, exterior appearance and not alcohol. If engine is other K-Kohler you must supply tech person with a stock head gasket for your engine.

20 HP 4000 RPM - 1050lbs

Stock appearing tractors with standard type 1 or 2 cylinder engine or equivalent replacement and stock appearing drive train for make and model. Gasoline only 26x12.00x12" maximum rear tire size. 6 or 8" front rims permitted. Aftermarket wheels and 3 rib tires permitted. NO tire cutting. 13" hitch height. Stock stroke and .030" maximum over bore for engine used. Must have cast camshaft, regrinds allowed, no steel cams allowed. Porting is allowed. 0-20 HP maximum lift .275". No welding, grinding or polishing on cylinder head. OEM or after market head gaskets allowed. No after market head. OEM carburetor for engine used with no carburetor spacers or velocity stacks. Maximum venturi diameter of 1.00". NO high performance fuel pumps. This class is still a single barrel carb. Two barrel card permitted on 20 HP B & S Vanguard. OEM cast flywheel or steel. No cutting, welding or adding weight to flywheel. Foot and hand throttle permitted. Exhaust pipes with no muffler must discharge vertically. 12" minimum from center of bend. Must maintain factory stance. 0-20 HP twin overhead value 40 cubic inch limit, flat head 50 cubic inch limit. Any camshaft allowed with maximum lift .275", no aftermarket heads, no roller lifters. No nitrous or E85fuels. (NOTE: There will need to have minimum of 6 tractors for the class.)

25 HP 4000 RPM- 1050lbs

Stock appearing tractors with standard type 2 cylinder engine or equivalent replacement and stock appearing drive train for make and model. Gasoline only 26x12.00x12" maximum rear tire size. 6 or 8" front rims permitted. Aftermarket wheels and 3 rib tires permitted. NO tire cutting. 13" hitch height. Stock stroke and .030" maximum over bore for engine used. Must have cast camshaft, reminds allowed, no steel cams allowed. Porting is allowed. 0-20 HP maximum lift .275". No welding, grinding or polishing on cylinder head. OEM or after market head gaskets allowed. No after market heads. OEM carburetor for engine used with no carburetor spacers or velocity stacks. Maximum venturi  diameter of single barrel 1.00" and 2 barrel 22 mm or .866". No high performance fuel pumps. Two barrel carbs are allowed in the 25 class only: OEM cast flywheel or steel. No cutting, welding or adding weight to flywheel. Foot and hand throttle permitted. Exhaust pipes, with no mufflers, must discharge vertically. 12" minimum from center of bend. Must maintain factory stance. Twin overhead value 47 cubic inch limit, flat head 60 cubic inch limit. Any camshaft max lift .275", no aftermarket heads, no roller lifters. No nitrous or E85 fuels.

14 HP MOD- 1050lbs

14 HP stock stroke, any bore, valves, cam, etc. are permitted. No welding, or cutting of the jug. Carburetor no larger than 1.200, venturi butterfly type only. Steel flywheel, clutch components must be shielded 360 degrees with 1/8" steel or 3/16" aluminum and head strap. 23x10.50x12 tires, no cut tires allowed. Hitch height of 10". Kill switch, wheelie bars, and dead man throttle spring mandatory. Gas or ethanol based fuel is permitted, NO alcohol, or nitrous. (NOTE: There will need to have minimum of 6 tractors to make the class.)

16 HP MOD - 1050lbs

16 HP stock stroke, any bore, valves, cam, etc. are permitted. No welding or cutting of the jug. Carburetor no larger than 1.200, venturi butterfly type only. Steel flywheel, clutch components must be shielded 360 degrees with 1/8" steel or 3/16" aluminum and head strap. 23x10.50x12 tires, cut tires allowed. Kill switch, wheelie bars, and dead man throttle spring mandatory. Gas or alcohol maximum specific gravity of .75. Hitch height of 10".

PRO/SUPER/ALTERED - 1050lbs

50.5 cubic inch limit, pro/super stocks. All pro/super/ altered will be following the National Quarter Scale Pullers rules (NQS). https://nqspulling.org

OPEN CLASSES- 1050lbs

Weight bars will be measured from the center of the rear axle forward. Weight brackets and weights cannot exceed 96". The extension of rear weight brackets and weight in 18" measured from the center of the rear axle. The maximum width cannot exceed 12" from the outside sidewalls of the rear tires. The maximum height is 60" measured from the ground. The hitch must be accessible from the rear to make an easy hook-up to the sled. All hitches must be located behind the rear axle of the machines and must be rigid. NO moving hitches permitted. Hitches must be bolted, welded or solid mount design. Hitch eyelet must be parallel with the ground. Hitch height of 13". The maximum hitch length from the center of the rear axle to the end of the hitch is 18". A 1.5" diameter or larger hole is required. All drivers must straddle the seat or be sitting in the seat and at least one hand must be on the steering wheel or handlebars at all times. All units must have wheelie bars to prevent turnovers. A pair of these devices are to have wheels or skid plates. Skid plates each being at least 1.5" x 3" and no less than 5" behind the rear tires and not more than 5" above the ground. These devices must be strong enough to support the full weight of machine. All machines must have a kill switch or tether switch attachable to the sled. Rear fenders must be installed to offer adequate protection to the driver. Wheels any size up to 7" in diameter, no pneumatic tires. Exhaust must exit 45 degrees vertical or horizontal to the rear or to the side. Tire tread must fit 12" wide, 26" tall gauge. No studs, chains, wire or duals permitted. Drivers must be 16 years or older. Engine may be motorcycle or snowmobile with limit of 4 cylinders. No turbos or super charger.(except diesels)
